  Dr. Ralph Adams, who taught me Genetics and Evolution was my most motivating instructor. Through the rough exterior is a genuinely motivated man. His wealth of knowledge and intellectual curiosity touched me as a student. I was sad to see him leave the c ampus.   (Back to Top)

  Marcus Tim Allen - enthusiastic to teach, interested in the course he taught, concerned that students learn and understand the subject.   Dr. Araghi was extremely helpful in my understanding of the world around me. Dr. Keating And DR. Nodell were also very instrumental in ym education  

  Dr. Housen, Dr. Coker, Dr. Araghi in my sociology field are great inspirations and role models and this helped me in enjoying my educational experience in their classes.  

  Cynthia cone- was always helpful and supportive. Farshad Araghi- gave me a great deal of "Food for Thoughts" I was always hungry for more!

  Dr. Alex Marsh discovered my skills and followed my time here closely and with a guiding hand. Dr. Baldwin showed me the desire to complete and stay with the Marine Bio program through fieldwork.

  I would have to first mention Dean Bill Mech of the Honors College. It is through his encouragement that I attended and was able to graduate! Alongside Dean mech stands Dr. Julie Earles, whose commitment to excellence, joy and expertise in teaching and pe rsonal attention helped me graduate from hard courses "Summa Cum Laude!" Exceptional instructors Dr. Lanning and Dr. Laura Barrett were also immensely instrumental in my academic growth.   (Back to Top)

  There were 2 professors whose teaching methods and enthusiasm made a great impact on my experience at FAU. Their names are Professor Rhodd and Professor Housen. Also, Dr. Valerie Burks was a well informed and caring advisor.  

  Dr. Valerie Burks, she was especially helpful in Liberal Studies major. Her course "Perspectives on Liberal Studies" Excellent.  

  Dr. Valerie Burks, she helped me see that getting my degree was possible. She worked with me in designin a program that fit my personal and professional goals. I believe Dr. Burks cared about my progress. She helped answer my questions and/or directed me t o exactly the right person.  

  Mary-Cynithia Cone for her guidance and Valerie Burks for her advice and Kathy Oliver for her efforts. Nancy Brady for professional manner and welcoming.  

  I found Profeeor Valerie Burks to be both inspirational and extremely helpful.  

  Professor Valerie Burks of Women studies for direction and encouragement. Professor Howard Housen whose courses powerfully impacted and empowered my intellect and experiences in the workforce.

  Dr. Prier/Dr. Campbell - both peaked my interest and were supportive of my hectic work schedule.  

  Dr. Campbel did a great job on helping my awareness with current events and the world. Dr. Lenaghan was an incredible encouragement to keep up with various activities and organizations. Always there for me at any time and interesting enough, he was alway s available even though I had never taken any of his classes.  

  Glenn Malone did a great job as my advisor. Faculty who I enjoyed taking classes with and felt were effective: Dr. Campbell, Dr. Marin.  

  Dr. Cathy Campbell, she helped me stay focused and motivated. When I would veer away from my studies, she would express her concern and make sure that I got right back on the correct path. I owe her a ton.   (Back to Top)

  Keith Platt, Cecilia Campoverde and Velmarie Albertini have inspired and empowered me to succeed  

  Dr. Campoverde. Advocated on behalf of my needs.  

  Dr. Tan, I give thanks for being involved in the community, for being in turn to the current events of social problems. I worked with Dr. Tan on the census counting of the homeless in Broward County.  

  Dr. Campoverde - She taught me excellent critical thinking skills. Dr. Appleton - She also taught me excellent critical thinking skills.  

  The only person that helped me succeed in life is God. He has given me so much strength and wisdom to accomplish my goal.  

  Yes, Dr. Campoverde. She accomplished this by being a caring individual. Her main concern was the students. She made herself available through different avenues, offered encouragement, and support.

  Dr. Trudie Coker. She is very structured and taught me to have structure in my personal life. She made sociology come alive.

  Deborah Shepard! She was always there to help me with any problem. She always made time for me, and that made me feel like I was an important person to the college of edaucation. I justv can't say enough good things about her. She is so wonderful! Also,Kev in Crawford, a professor for Interpretation of Fiction. He showed me to see literature from a differepoint of view.   There are two: Linda Johnson and Stephanie Cunningham. They both set guidelines which you are expected to follow. They are always happy to assist and answer questions. Their class room atmosphere is enjoyable. They allow class time to work on your proj ects.

  Dr. Harris was particularly helpful. Her input and personal interest made her reading classes very enjoyable and gave me increased confidence in my abilities as a future teacher. Also very helpful to me was Dr. Lindgren, who helped show me a vision of a better way to teach science.

  Dr. Harris - warm and caring person who is always willing to go the extra mile for her students. Her reading class was so enjoyable that it made me want to be a reading teacher. (However, I know that I would need a Masters) Mrs. Sotsky - she modeled tea ching children beautifully!  

  Dr. Yahya and Dr. D. harris in Department of Education. They provided real life experience/learning. The lessons were organized and meaningful. Please honor these teachers; they are worth a gold mine!!

  Mrs. Lorraine Cross from Boca Raton Campus. She was my gen instructor and pushed me to challenge myself more than any other class I have teken. As a result I learned more about teaching and myself than any other class during my time at FAU. Mrs. Cross is a n exceptional instructor and truly cares about her students.  

  Dr. Voss was a very supportive advisor many of the faculty memebers in the teacher education dept were very helpful. Dr. Crawly was of particular aid in urgent courses scheduling.

  Dr. Jackie Gallagher was a tremendous help when I suffered from anxiety - related problems that affected my academic work. Dr. Ian Watson taught in a very effective manner, encouraging his students to apply skills that are very important in our field.
